- Knicks–Rockets multi-pick swap opened Round 2: Houston took Bruce Thornton (No. 31), New York got Jack Kayil (No. 39), Detroit landed Ugonna Onyenso (No. 53), and the Clippers added Nick Martinelli (No. 55).
- Lakers bought the No. 56 pick from Chicago for cash, then flipped it to Dallas (Vsevolod Ishchenko) — their second straight cash-for-pick deal.
- More than half of Round 2 changed hands: 20+ picks were dealt, with most selections made on behalf of another team (see the 'via' note on each pick).
